NOTE: an OPSmod that is only six single modules wide will not have a long enough passing siding to facilitate meets. If we want to keep our train lengths to about 15 cars for operations, we need every passing siding to be able to hold this train. While one saw-by may be fun, trying to have a saw-by at every passing siding will quickly ruin the operations session.
NOTE: this is a typical small industrial OPSmod. It is four doubles wide with an acceptable passing siding. There are both trailing-point and facing-point turnouts possible. A run-around track is essential. Also, there must be room to park the full train off of the main line if facing-point turnouts are to be used during the operations session.
NOTE: this OPSmod bypasses the Yellow Line by having the Red Line cross over it. Note that Yellow Line is lowered by one inch and the Red Line is elevated by one inch to provide enough space for the lines to cross. The entire back of the OPSmod will be one inch higher to accommodate the Red Line's new height.
